Even though the main thrust of this blog is all about my WoW experiences and thoughts, every so often I will interject some non-WoW thoughts or aspects if I feel it is warranted. Having just seen the film John Carter over the weekend, I wanted to take a moment and simply say how much I truly enjoyed this film. I read a few “film critic” who have panned the film, but let me tell you from my perspective as an avid film goer that I thought this was a very well done film that had a certain “movie magic” which reminded me of going to the movies with my father to see an old B-film adventure film. There was a lot of action, adventure, humor, romance all of which was expertly crafted together by Andrew Stanton, who is known for his Pixar films. Lastly, if you were not aware, the film is based on the character/novel that writer Edgar Rice Burroughs created. I would also highly recommend that you purchase his John Carter novels, they are a fast and fun read! As a little side trivia, it was Burroughs that also created the Tarzan character.
So if you get a chance, I highly recommend the film John Carter! I bet you will enjoy it as much as I did!
